The Fraternity of Alpha Kappa Lambda is the first National Fraternity founded on the west coast at the University of California in 1914. The Fraternity currently has 43 chapters and colonies nationwide with an undergraduate membership totaling over 1,600 students and an alumni base of over 27,000. Membership in Alpha Kappa Lambda is based on the Five Ideals; Judeo-Christian Principles, Leadership, Scholarship, Loyalty, and Self Support. Members strive to be Men of Character Committed to Making a Difference.
